"Fresh news from the force!"

Break It Down Again by Tears for Fears is one of the great spiritual rock songs of our time. The theme of this insightful tune is that we (humanity) should “Break it down again” or (re)examine our lives in order to seek truth, which is within us. The song astutely observes, “It’s in the way you’re always hiding from the light…” This line seems to reflect our current reality. There is a light within us that is the Source of our true happiness and power. It is eternal, loving, and whole. And yet It is still often unseen and unknown in popular culture and in many of our own lives.

But times are changing. Chaos seems to be spreading across the world like wildfire. Yet, there is a Great Awakening underway.

At one point the song proclaims “Fresh news from the force!…”, as if the songwriter knows that new powerful loving and healing teachings have come into our world to help us through these troubling times.

I am happy to share that they are here, for I have been studying and learning from them for over twenty years. In short, I have learned that there is a Force within us that is not of this world. It is a force of love and wisdom that is literally from beyond time and space, yet extends through time and space. Its source is God.

The song even shines a light on the shadow that lurks in the unconscious mind of all people — “Waste sleeping underground…” or the ego — the deeply held (and deeply cherished) belief that we have separated from our Creator, usurped His power, and made a self of our own (expressed in our daily lives as feeling that we are alone and on our own). This didn’t happen, and it is absurd to believe that it did.

The final five lines of this amazing song seem to be a call to us all:

“Break it down again” (seek and find)

“No more sleepy dreaming” (wake up from this dream world we call reality — a deep and profound mystical admonition)

“No more building up” (the ego – the cause of all suffering and loss in the world)

“It’s time to dissolve” (the ego)

“No more sleepy dreaming” (wake up!)

The fresh news from the force shared on this site is intended to be engaging and enlightening, if not occasionally controversial. Topics may include everything from the Apocalypse, to the Second Coming, to the illusory nature of reality (sometimes called the Matrix), to the power of forgiveness, to the exceptional quality of non-alcoholic beer in the market today.
